Savannah Black, founded in 2007 by a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, directly imports Shea Butter and Black Soap from Ghana. Shea butter has long been used to help maintain skin health and beauty in the harsh African dry season. Our 100% organic Shea butter is free of any additives.
Our mission is to provide a top quality product and service to you, as well as give fair market value to the women who are suffering from greedy multi-national corporations’ lust for profit at any cost. We pay fair market value and provide the women with valuable information on how to package and weigh the Shea for international transport. This combination of directly paying and educating the women in their field will lead to empowering the women to take control of their lives. They are oppressed by the dominate male in the society as well as living in a world where they are viewed as victims, unable to help themselves.
